Glenview Credit Union is helping fill the Northfield Food Pantry shelves
NORTHFIELD – Northfield Food Pantry shelves are bare. Children are without their school lunches while home for summer vacation. Some children with summer birthdays will get no gifts this year.
Did you ever wonder who supplies the pantry with the necessities they need to keep those in need fed while the rest of us are on summer vacation? There is no vacation from an empty tummy.
Glenview Credit Union wants to help and we need the entire community’s support. Let’s celebrate with Christmas in July!
Who says there has to be snow on the ground to celebrate the season of giving? We’re feeling the spirit NOW! Drop off non-perishable food or an unwrapped toy today. We will be collecting throughout the month of July.
Some special needs this week are:
- Pasta and Pasta sauce, preferably not glass jars
- Soups of all kinds but especially hearty ones
- Healthy snacks for all ages
- Baby Wipes
- Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper)
