LAKE BLUFF- Following its global mission to “Serve the Children,” the local Kiwanis Foundation of Lake Bluff & Lake Forest has agreed to address areas of need at Lake Bluff Middle School.

After consultation with Principal Nate Blackmer and District 65 Superintendent Dr. Jean Sophie, the local Kiwanis Foundation learned that a ramp at the main entrance of the school is needed. This is the main school entrance for students and visitors, and a ramp is needed to address safety concerns and enhance accessibility to the school. The remodeling/expansion project begins March 2016 and is expected to be completed by Fall 2016. Please visit http://www.lb65.org/l_b_m_s_renovations for more information on the project.

So far the Kiwanis members have raised $10,000 for the project, halfway to their goal of $20,000. The Kiwanis ask members of the community to please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help achieve its goal. Donations may be made online via PayPal at http://kiwanislblf.org/our-mission or via mailing a check payable to the Kiwanis Foundation of LB/LF, P.O. Box 34, Lake Bluff, IL 60044.
