NORTHFIELD – Fresh off a leg of Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life tour, vocalist Mike Harvey finds a home for his exceptional experience and musicianship at North Shore Music Institute in Northfield. His skill and knowledge from decades of working with superstars like Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Seal will be available to an exclusive group of audition-approved students whose vocal talents will be pushed and developed to their peak.
Harvey has an extensive professional career of performing live and in the studio with professional musicians and has appeared many times on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and 30 Rock. He also lends his talents to several national commercial spots for Sony, Chevy, UPS, and McDonald’s.
Currently on staff at North Shore Music Institute, Harvey is directing NSMI’s Fall 2015 Youth Choir and offering premium private lessons to select students, both by audition only. Mike Harvey brings his real world experience to his lessons, and his teaching goes beyond critical core technique to offer insights into what it takes to be an in demand and on the scene vocalist.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday August 18 from 5-6 p.m. and 8-9 p.m. and Tuesday August 25 from 5-6 p.m. and 8-9 p.m., at North Shore Music Institute, located at 400 Central Ave in Northfield, IL 60093.
