In case people aren’t aware, the percentage of families with students in a District 112 school is quite small. It is in the best interest of everyone if the 112 board would engage in dialogue with residents–every single person that lives in Highland and Highwood will be seriously impacted by the reconfiguration.
It is impossible to understand why the board has stuck to this ridiculous and impulsive plan to close four schools without a longer term plan in place. No one benefits from prematurely closing four buildings and the financial savings is relatively inconsequential.
Residents have lost faith in the current board and I think it would be safe to say that residents won’t support anything the current board tries to sell us.
