William Robert Tazioli, 61, passed away March 10, 2016 at Loyola Medical Center after a long illness. Bill is survived by his mother, Irene, siblings Guy (Jody), Gail (Warren), and Betty. He was uncle to Elaina (Jeff) Good, Tyler and Victor. Also surviving is his friend Debbie Collins. He was preceded in death by his father Guido Santi Tazioli and his brother Anthony.
At an early age, Bill made good use of his photographic memory. He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and easy-going manner. He never spoke ill of anyone.
During his early career with the Illinois Tollway Authority, Bill was usually first on the scene at many tragic vehicle accidents, placing the lives of others above his own.
After returning to college, he made a mid-life career decision and became a fixture at Great America in Gurnee as their heating and air conditioning engineer.
Bill’s hobbies included working to protect the Second Amendment, tinkering with his unique Lancia Roadster and humble Volvo and conversing with his many doctors on the North Shore and Chicago at their level of education.
A visitation will be held from 9 am until time of mass 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
