WILMETTE – Police arrested a man after a theft at gas station on Feb. 14 at about 11:17 p.m..
Police reports state that a white male dressed in all black entered the store located in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue and made a small purchase for about $2. While the cash register was opened, the man grabbed several $20 bills and fled.
The man got in a dark blue vehicle and headed east. The gas station reported that $200 to $250 was taken.
On Feb. 15 at 1:31 a.m. a Glencoe Police officer on patrol near 1185 Sheridan Road saw the vehicle wanted in connection with the theft. The officer arrested Stanislave Zhupavel and he was taken to the Wilmette police department. He was charged with misdemeanor theft.
