WAUKEGAN – Each year volunteers from AARP help seniors complete their income taxes at Waukegan Township’s Park Place. This important service is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. through April 14, 2016. No appointment necessary. Doors open at 9 a.m. * Please note – Spanish Speaking Tax Preparers on Thursdays.
Since 1968, the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteer-based program has helped nearly 50 million low- to moderate-income taxpayers. The program offers free tax preparation help to anyone 50 and older who can’t afford a tax preparation service. AARP understands that retirement or other life changes may mean your taxes are a little more complicated now. With the help of their team of IRS-certified volunteers they make it easy for you. Tax-Aide is not restricted to Waukegan Township residents. There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services and AARP membership is not required.

Waukegan Township Park Place offers a variety of services for adults 55 years of age and better. Approximately 4,000 seniors participate monthly in a variety of activities at Park Place. Park Place programs attract seniors with diverse backgrounds and interests who frequent the center for social interaction, educational, fitness and wellness programs.
