NORTHBROOK – An 83-year-old woman who was reported missing to the Northbrook Police on Monday morning, Feb. 1, was found deceased later that day. Her name was Olga M. Villarreal.
According to police she was last seen inside her residence on the 500 block of Anthony Trail near the area of Pfingsten and Dundee. Early in the day police asked residents to check their property, sheds, garages, and backyards to help search for the woman, who they said many have wandered miles away.
Citing the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Sun-Times reported that she was found at 4:29 p.m. in the 300 block of Pfingsten Road in Northbrook, and pronounced dead at the scene at 4:29 p.m. The newspaper also reported that an autopsy performed on Feb. 2 found she died of heart disease, with dementia and diabetes listed as secondary causes.
Police do not suspect foul play.
