HIGHLAND PARK – A new Dunkin’ Donuts with some new twists is slated to open at 1996 Second Street on Dec. 26.
“The new concept stores feature comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi access, and flat-screen TVs,” said Tina Schacht, marketing manager of North Shore Management Group. “In addition to the drive-thru window, the two-story Green Bay location will offer upstairs dining, and has a different look on the outside too.”
North Shore Management Group owns and operates 60 Dunkin’ Donuts around the Chicago area; this is its second in Highland Park, said Schacht. Karim Khoja is the CEO of North Shore Management Group, which is based in Northfield.
The second Highland Park location is at Route 41 and Park Avenue West. The other North Shore locations include Glencoe, Northfield, Lake Bluff and Glenview.
“The one in Glenview is unique because it has three conference rooms and two individual work spaces with desks and doors for extra privacy,” said Schacht. The Glenview location opened last April at 1945 Willow Road.
The new two-story 1,899-square-foot Dunkin’ Donuts property at the corner of Green Bay Road and Second Street in Highland Park also includes a retail strip center with four tenants at the south end of the lot. Sherwin-Williams Paint Store and Athletico Physical Therapy are in two of the units.
Dunkin’ Donuts is located at 1996 Second Street. Hours of operation will be from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
