WILMETTE – A Chicago man who used a hammer to beat a boot off of his car has been charged with battery in the incident, police reports state.
Gregory Schultz, 48, was at the Starbucks at 3520 Lake Avenue on Sept. 23 when his Toyota Prius was booted. Police state that Schultz got a hammer from his trunk and beat the boot off of his vehicle. When the female parking employee attempted to place another boot on the Prius she was pushed to the around, police stated.
Schultz fled the scene but his registration was recorded by a witness.
